Round 3 at Donington Park took place over the weekend of 21st -22nd May with the weather predicted to be very changeable.

Friday’s FP1 & FP2 “I set some fast times during practice despite both sessions being hindered by mixed weather conditions, finishing p6 and p9 respectively, leaving me p9 overall”.

Qualifying on Saturday with more consistent weather, saw me place p9 on the grid.

As always, race 1 came on Saturday afternoon with race 2 on Sunday.

Race 1 “I got a good start and managed to get away with the leading group, I stayed and battled at the front all race apart from the last couple of laps where I just lost the slip stream and had to settle for 8th but I was happy with another top 10 finish”.

Race 2 “Was, for me, the best race of the season so far, I started p6 on the grid this time due to a good lap time from race 1 and I again got away with the leading group and battled it out for the whole race unfortunately I got shuffled around a bit and found myself back in 11th but I managed to finish 10th just 1.6 seconds off the winner, I was able to stay and fight with the lead group for the entire race, this has really boosted my confidence and given me the bonus of more TV. coverage!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a stronger start to the year, the results have improved each meeting and I am confident I can continue to climb the table”.

I am again grateful to those that make racing possible, all my sponsors and my team for a great bike, enabling me to continue scoring points in every race so far.
